A Human Library - Desire and Pleasure, Reimagined
With Naturally Naughty, we’re not only taking part in events and trade fairs across German-speaking countries - we occasionally venture abroad as well. This fall, our focus is on Singapore, where we’ve partnered with a few select parties. Last month, we discovered a fascinating concept in a truly unique venue that we couldn’t resist sharing with you.
The Human Library - a human library
The "Human Library" event, with the motto "Between the Lines," connected knowledge-hungry guests, experts and brands from the field of sexual wellness, providing a perfect place for exchange. Guests were able to choose real people with true stories as their "books." Each human "book" then shared their experiences about sexuality, desire, identity, and well-being. At first glance, the readers’ task seemed simple: to listen, ask questions, and engage in conversations that went beyond the surface - between the lines, so to speak. Yet for some, the experience turned out to be deeply emotional.
The etiquette for the evening was clearly set in advance: consent was non-negotiable. Photos, videos, and audio recordings were off limits - the conversations were meant only for those present. The focus was on curiosity, not judgment, and on creating a space where genuine openness could unfold.
This is how the human "books" were chosen
First, participants read the biographies of the 20 experts. Then, participants were allowed to choose three books or experts, and each was given a 20-minute session. The human books were journalists or sex experts like Dr. Marta Lee. There were also groups like the Kinky Minky Club or experts from local businesses on the topic of sexual wellness.
Freelance experts could always be booked if there was enough time. And in your free time, you could simply dance, chat with other guests, or try one of the signature drinks at the bar. We had specially created an aphrodisiac drink for this evening using our Ginger Spray: a Honey Elderflower Margherita.
After interacting with the human "book," we returned to the other guests for reflection. Or simply to be silent and reflect. The RASA Space location, with its many small bar seats and seating areas, was the perfect setting for this.

The RASA and its relationship with Berghain
The RASA Space venue consists of a restaurant lounge (the hall) and a dance floor with breakout areas. The club was designed by the well-known Studio Karhard , who also acted as architects for the the iconic Berlin techno club Berghain. It became clear that art and the gathering of people are also the focus here at RASA: "A home to the arts - where you are essential to the vibe" is the prevailing philosophy. DJs from Berghain regularly also play at RASA here in Singapore.

Our book brought warming pleasure
We had our local representative and sinfluencer Thomas from Singapore with us as an expert and as a "warming book." He introduced the evening's guests to our ginger spray and massage oil. Especially to the topics of figging and wax play.
He was most impressed by the curiosity and openness of the guests. Many tried the warming effect of our ginger product right there and then, or the combination of the massage oil with special candles that have a lower burning temperature and allow wax play (The candles come as part of our Naturally Naughty Box - ready to set the mood).
Thomas reports:
- Bars have shown great interest in mixing their own Naughty Drinks and collaborating with us to plan kinky Halloween parties. This could turn into something really exciting - so stay tuned.
- Hotels have also expressed interest in offering their guests sensual products and experiences in the future, with conversations on that still to come.
- One guest was thrilled by the taste and laughed, saying he “just couldn’t get enough of it”, maybe it might even help him quit smoking.

After three intense hours, the human library was closed again, and the venue slowly transformed into a nightclub with various DJs. We thoroughly enjoyed the concept and the evening and will participate again. Our next event in Singapore will be a labyrinth where you can get lost and play. Stay tuned.
